Though our Church has ancient roots, it has relevance for a new generation.

Welcome to the ACC

Welcome to the Visitors’ Section of the ACC website.  If you’re unfamiliar with Anglicanism and our tradition of faith, the links to the right are designed to provide a brief introduction to who we are and what we believe.

The first four are a series of videos dealing with one of the main goals of the ACC –recovering the fullness of our inheritance as Christians in the 21st century and sharing it with the world.  While contemporary worship may entertain, it also tends to isolate us from the historic and universal Church by reflecting back to us our own culture and tastes.  The Anglican tradition emphasizes the timeless nature of Christian worship.  Our liturgy (literally “work of the people”) encourages us not only to know the Jesus of the Bible, but to experience Him through the sacramental life, drawing us out of our narrow and self-contained existence and into the loving presence of God.

Next is a link to the ACC’s audio-blog, “Speaking Anglican.”  Speaking Anglican, like speaking French, implies two people, and in order to join the conversation one must know the language. So, the programs here are designed to bring you into a conversation about the Anglican Faith and introduce you to the symbols and terms that comprise the ‘lingo’ of Anglicanism.  Along the way, you’ll find a bit of Church History to inform your Christian faith.  At “Speaking Anglican” you can either listen online, or download various segments as a podcast.

After you’ve spent some time with the multimedia resources, you might want to peruse our Frequently Asked Questions.  In this section you’ll find a wide variety of historical, theological, and practical questions that newcomers often ask.  Most of these are couched in the form of short answers, just a few lines to give the basics of the faith.  For more in depth information, try looking over the section labeled “About the Church.”  If you find you have a question that isn’t answered here, please use the “Contact Us” form to get in touch with a priest near you.

Once you have a basic familiarity with the Anglican Catholic Church, you may want to visit one of our parishes.  To do so, use the Church Locator to find a parish near you.  Although the ACC is not in every city, we do have links here to our affiliated jurisdictions, the Anglican Province of Christ the King, and the United Episcopal Church of North America.  If there is no parish nearby, please contact the office of the diocesan bishop for your area; there you will often be able to find information about missions or clergy who will travel.  This is also the place to start if you’re interested in planting an ACC parish in your hometown.

We thank you for visiting our site, and hope to see you in one of our parishes sometime soon.
